Confession. Even though I post a cocktail a week, my husband is usually the one that makes our day in and day out cocktails. Sometimes though a week has gone by and it’s time for me to come up with a cocktail for this post and I need one in a hurry. If you follow my Sidewalk Shoes blog, you know I am all about easy. Being easy is probably the main thing that ties all of my food posts together. So, there I was on a Saturday night, needing a cocktail to drink and needing a cocktail for today’s post. I was in the mood for something sweet and little decadent. Enter Chocolate Coffee Martini to the rescue.
I grabbed a bottle of my favorite vodka and then started looking through our multiple liqueur cabinets. There I found Homemade Chocolate Liqueur and Homemade Coffee Liqueur. Perfect. I googled around a bit and found that I could make a delightfully easy cocktail just using those three ingredients. 3 ingredients and almost now work – that’s how I roll.
As you can see my cocktail is a clear type cocktail, that’s because my homemade chocolate liqueur is not a cream type liqueur. If you wanted to use a creamy chocolate liqueur, I’m sure it would be wonderful! I’ll probably try that next time, as there will definitely be a next time. A cocktail this easy and this delicious deserves to be repeated.
