Have dreams of becoming a craft cocktail mixologist or just looking for an easy way to jazz up your cocktails? Then look no further than this ginger simple syrup. I fell in love with infused simple syrups with Rosemary Simple Syrup and Thyme Simple Syrup. Now I have another love. I think this ginger simple syrup may be my favorite. It adds such an elegant touch to cocktails. I also imagine that it would be heavenly in hot tea!
Making ginger simple syrup is so easy!
It is so simple. You are basically making a not too sweet simple syrup and adding some chopped ginger. After heating, you let it come to room temperature and there you have it, ginger simple syrup! Even though this is ridiculously easy to make, there are all kinds of interesting options for purchase: Ginger People Organic Ginger Syrup and Royal Rose Ginger-Lime Simple Syrup 8oz. That last one sounds really interesting. I think next time I’ll try adding a little lime. Lime and ginger love to play together!

- 1 1/2 cups of water
- Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat, let cool to room temperature, strain into a jar and refrigerate.
