Fresh Strawberries Make an Amazing Strawberry Margarita!
There is only one drink that ties for first place with my beloved gin and tonic and that is a margarita. When it comes to margaritas, I have always been about simplicity. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. A classic simple margarita made with the finest ingredients that you can afford is pure joy. However, the other day, I was looking in my fridge at the 3 containers of strawberries that I had purchased. The season is so fleeting, I buy them whenever I see organic on sale. I’ve been using them in cocktails like my Strawberry Rosè Sangria, The Best Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri, and Strawberry Mojitos. While those were all amazing, I needed to branch out. How about a strawberry margarita?! I wanted one of the rocks, not frozen. I found the perfect simple Strawberry Margarita recipe at Pop Sugar.
This was the perfect recipe. First of all, it makes a pitcher, which in my opinion is how all margaritas should be served. The recipe was also so simple and perfect – a basic margarita with the addition of some fresh strawberries. It was quick, easy and so refreshing. I’m going to keep this same basic formula and try substituting other fruits for the strawberries. How about a pineapple margarita? Or raspberry margarita? Or a pineapple raspberry margarita?! See, the ideas are endless.
