If you work from home, wardrobe is not an issue. Well, the only issue is getting yourself dressed in something presentable in case the UPS guy needs your signature. My primary shoes for at home or a well-worn pair of Sperry Topsiders. The more I wear them, the more comfortable they get. They are like a well-loved pair of slippers. I wear them sockless all summer long with shorts and capris.
The only time I change up my shoes is if I am going out, or to garden. I got these adorable hot pink Sloggers Women’s Garden Clog (affiliate link) and use them for all my gardening. They are cool and wash off easily with a hose. But when I am finished weeding and need to dump the weeds on our compost bin in the woods, I switch to my Sloggers Rain and Garden boot
(affiliate link). You can see that with cropped capris on, my legs are pretty much covered. This keeps creepy crawling things from ever touching me!
I recommend both of these highly. I garden in the morning when there is still a lot of dew on the ground, and my sneakers were always getting wet and dirty. Now, with these, a quick hose off (if needed) and I am good to go.
