So, guess who is going to California in November? Yep! I am so excited. I’ve never been. My stepson is getting married in Los Angeles so this was the perfect opportunity to spend some time touring wine country. Seriously that is what the majority of our trip is going to be. From what I can tell, there is all this gorgeous country surrounded all the gorgeous wineries – so we’ll have plenty to look at while we sip our wine.
So, Mr. Grey decided that backpacks would make a great carryon. We could put our cameras in their and anything else that we didn’t want to check. I think he envisioned a nice canvas backpack, kind of like what you see the kids wearing as they wait for the bus stop. Not exactly what I was envisioning. I didn’t really know what I wanted, but I figured I would know it when I saw it!
I headed out to TJ Maxx for my first stop and within minutes I had found it. There was a Calvin Klein Talia Dressy backpack! It is gorgeous! I love the detailing on it. It is the perfect size. Nice heavy zippers and a drawstring top. It’s nylon with leather trim. A nice blend of a tan/taupe color and black, so it will go with everything.
If you are wondering about my camera flopping around loose in my backpack. Don’t. I use a Timbuk2 Snoop Camera Insert – it is sized to fit a messenger bag, but it will fit in most backpacks and purses. I love it! It turns any purse or backpack into a camera bag! I wrote a review of it – Timbuk2 Camera Bag Insert Review.
