On our recent trip to California, we had an overnight in Pismo Beach. We chose The Sand Castle Inn. The hotel was located right on the beach and the staff was very nice.
The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was pretty standard. I did enjoy the complementary Philosophy products. (I judge hotels based on their toiletries!)
A nice feature to the hotel is that they have wine or beer on the premises for purchase. We had already bought a bottle of wine from a winery tour earlier, so we had that while sitting in the area off of their lobby. There was a fireplace, so we sipped our wine and enjoyed the fireplace and the free wifi.
The free continental breakfast the next morning was very good. They had hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, pastries and a make your own waffle station. I had oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins and yogurt with fruit on the bottom. The yogurt staff put together, not a little plastic store bought container. It was in a jar with a generous serving of a fruity jam on the bottom and plain yogurt on top. It was excellent.
We were definitely pleased with our stay at Sandcastle Inn – great staff and a great location.
