A different take on a gin and tonic, a Double Juniper, made with Dry Soda’s Juniper Berry.
My drink of choice is a gin and tonic. It is my go-to, never fails, always works drink. I love gin. Sometimes my gin and tonics taste a little too much like tonic and not enough like gin. When I was at Homegoods recently I spotted some Dry Juniper Berry Soda. I have such a love affair with Dry Soda. Remember when I made Dry Vanilla Bean Elderflower Cooler? Or how about the Gin Cucumber Cooler? So, to say I was thrilled to find the Dry Juniper Berry Soda was an understatement! It’s one that I haven’t been able to find at my local grocery stores.
On the Dry Soda website, I found Double Juniper. Which is basically a gin and tonic, except you sub the Dry Juniper Berry Soda for the tonic. Oh my. So good. The subtle flavor of the soda perfectly compliments the gin, allowing all the gin goodness to shine through. Loved it!! To make it even better, it’s only 55 calories and doesn’t have that syrupy sweetness that tonics can have.
Move over gin and tonic, I have a new favorite gin cocktail!
Ingredients
- 5 oz Dry Juniper Berry Soda
- 2 oz gin
- lime wedge
- ice
Instructions
- Shake gin and ice in a cocktail shaker and strain the gin into a tall glass filled with ice. Top with Dry Juniper Berry Soda. Squeeze the lime in, give it a quick stir and garnish with the lime.
- Enjoy.
