After an overnight stay in St. Helena, we asked for recommendations for breakfast. It was unanimous that we should eat at Gillwoods Cafe. We got there about 8:30 on a Sunday morning and we got the last available table. There are long benches that run along the sides and small two tops and four tops run along them.
Wanting just a good basic breakfast, we got two eggs, hash browns, toast and bacon. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was a bit overcooked in my opinion. The highlight of the breakfast were the slices of sourdough toast. Big, hearty slices that we enjoyed with the berry jam provided.
