It is eating at places like King Noodle House in Everett, Washington that make me so appreciative of everything we have available to us today. Without apps like Yelp, Zomato, or Foursquare, we would never be able to find all these hidden gems. Imagine a generation of people never knowing what is was like to just drive up and down streets looking for a place to eat.
As we were heading back to Seattle after our North Cascades Loop trip, we needed to stop for lunch. I pulled up King Noodle on my phone, and it was an easy find. It’s located in a strip shopping center. We arrived a little early and were the only ones in the restaurant.
We both decided to make our own noodle combo for $7.99. It was like being a kid in a candy shop, I wanted it all! I settled on spicy soup for my base, hand pulled noodles for my noodles, beef meat balls and wood ear mushrooms for my topping, and bean sprouts and baby bok choy for my veggies. I was so excited about mine that I didn’t pay any attention to what my husband ordered!
Sometimes I have no shame when it comes to taking food photos. I did stand up and go over to the window and snap a photo of my noodles being pulled.
The big bowl of noodles was everything I wanted it to be. The broth was delicate with a little bit of heat. The noodles were chewy and delicious. The bok choy was crisp tender. The meatballs were tasty and not too fatty. It was excellent!
