The Dragonfly Cocktail is an easy gin, ginger ale and lime cocktail that you’ll make over and over again! Post may contain affiliate links.
Most of my family was over for Thanksgiving and I purchased a couple of big bottles of soft drinks. One a cola and the other a ginger ale. We are not big soft drink drinkers. We didn’t keep them in the house as the girls were growing up and when eating out in restaurants we always ordered water. I am pretty pleased that it seems like that has stayed with them and they still rarely drink soft drinks. When Thanksgiving was over with, we still had 3/4 the bottle of cola, which I poured out and about 3/4 the bottle of ginger ale. I bought the ginger ale specifically because I wanted to use it in some cocktails later if we had any left. It didn’t take me long to find the easiest ginger ale cocktail ever, The Dragonfly Cocktail! It’s basically a gin and tonic, but instead of tonic, you use ginger ale, plus add some lime juice. Super easy and super tasty!
I loved it! The ginger ale added a little bit of a different take on my usual gin and tonic. A little sweeter and little spicier. If you love gin and tonics, you’ll love The Dragonfly Cocktail. Since it was such a simple cocktail, I decided to jazz up my photo with some cute cocktail drinking straws and a cocktail shaker. You find similar styles: Straws and Cocktail Shaker.
