A review of The Grateful Bread restaurant in Pacific City, Oregon.
On a recent trip through Washington and Oregon we found ourselves driving by Grateful Bread right around lunch time. With such a cute name, we couldn’t resist stopping in!
It is a cute bakery right on the coast. We were seated immediately and ordered water. My husband ordered the Local Dory Caught Cod and I ordered the Bakery Baguette. It was kind of slow, but the food was worth waiting for. The fish on the Local Dory Caught Cod was lightly breaded with great flavor. The coleslaw had an extra flavor ingredient, which I think was fennel seeds. Very nice, it was the perfect blend between a creamy and a vinaigrette coleslaw.
My Bakery Baguette was also wonderful. It was served warm with roasted red peppers, onions, zucchini, mushrooms and mozzarella. The onions were so sweet and caramelized. All of the veggies were nicely charred. It was a huge sandwich! I ended up letting my husband finish some of it.
A great place to stop, wonderful sandwiches and a gorgeous view!
