Summit Nutritions Non-Protein Spiking Pure Whey Protein Isolate

Summit Nutritions Non-Spiking Pure Whey Protein Isolate

As part of my after workout routine, I drink a whey protein shake.  I’ve tried several different kinds, and I am always pleased when I find one that I like.  Summit Nutritions Pure Whey Protein is definitely one that I like!

Summit Nutritions Whey Protein

There are several things to like about Summit Nutritions (affiliate link) 100% Non-Protein Spiking Pure Whey Protein Isolate Instanized  First of all it tastes great!  I tried the vanilla mixed with water and with milk and it tasted great either way.  It dissolved readily, no clumps.  The single serve packets are perfect for tossing in a gym bag and the fact that it dissolves easy means you can put it in your shaker cup with some water and it will be creamy and good!  Then there are all the things that it doesn’t have – No cholesterol, no whey concentrate, no dextrose, no maltodextrin, no ion exchange whey, no fat, no sugar, no fillers or banned substance.  It’s all good for you.   Mixed with water, it is only 110 calories!

The label states that there is no protein spiking.  I didn’t even know what that was!  Protein spiking is when protein manufacturers add amino acids that are cheaper than the base protein powder in order to increase the nitrogen content.   I was shocked to find that you can actually be getting less protein than the label says on some protein powders!  I checked another protein powder that we had at home and it was one of those listed as providing less protein than what the label claimed.  We are definitely switching to Summit Nutritions Whey Protein.
