Gin Cucumber Cooler

Gin Cucumber Cooler - so refreshing!!

With the wealth of all the cocktails that are out there, I have to admit that my everyday drink of choice is a gin and tonic.  Gin and tonics are perfect.  Cool, refreshing, herbaceous.  Well, I think I may have found my new drink of choice!  Step aside Gin and Tonic and make room for a Gin Cucumber Cooler!

Gin Cucumber Cooler with Dry Cucumber Soda

The other night, I headed into the kitchen and into the fridge to make my gin and tonic.  However, while searching for the wayward bottle of tonic, my eye settled on the can of Dry Cucumber Soda that I had picked up on a whim from the grocery store.  Hmmm….

Gin Cucumber Cooler

I was about to just sort of mix it up like my gin and tonic, subbing the Dry Cucumber Soda for the tonic.  But my resident mixologist (Mr. Grey) offered up the suggestion of Chartreuse.  It was perfect!  It was refreshing, tart, a little herbaceous!   I also picked up a can of the Dry Vanilla Bean Soda – and already have some cocktail ideas in mind!  And as an extra bonus the Dry Cucumber Soda has less calories than my tonic water!!  Bonus!

I’ve noted Chartreuse on the shelf at the liquor store many times but have yet to try it. This sounds like a good reason to pick up a bottle!
