Last year I retired from teaching and created this blog so that I could record what I ate, drank, bought, and traveled to. It was also supposed to be an over-40 fashion blog, but taking photos of myself has proved to be more difficult than eating and drinking, but I haven’t given up yet! But let’s get back to the drinking. To keep my Tipsy Tuesday going every Tuesday, I have to make and drink a cocktail once a week. I know. It’s rough.
As I was walking through HomeGoods looking for some cocktail props, I spotted these Tovolo Kind Cube Trays. We already had some large round ice sphere trays, but I liked the look of the square ones. Plus the price made me #homegoodshappy – so in my cart they went.
They work perfect. The silicone makes it easy to pop the cubes out. They are about a 2 inch square which fits nicely in most glasses. They are also easier to work with than the two part round large ice spheres. We used them in our margaritas and one cube lasted through 3 margaritas! They melt slower than smaller cubes and you have less dilution of your drink.
