A review of Crust Pizza in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
When we want pizza we usually stick closer to home, but when we posted about how much we love Lupi’s salads, someone said that we had to try Crust’s salads, so we gave it a visit last Saturday.
We arrived about 5:45 on a Saturday night and it was completely empty. This was most likely due to the fact that it was the 4th of July – not your typical day to eat pizza!
The decor is bright and cherry. They had a pizza buffet going, but there was only one pizza on it. We weren’t really interested in that anyway. We ordered a salad and a large Sleestak pizza (so we’d have some for lunch the next day).
The salad was good. The waitress recommended the kalamata feta dressing and it was very good – nice and thick. I liked the addition of sunflower seeds and garbanzo beans. However the one thing that it is missing is croutons! I love homemade croutons on a salad.
The pizza arrived piping hot. The crust was thin and good, though I would have liked it a bit crisper. The sauce is a sweet red sauce. The toppings were plentiful. The tubes of ricotta might have looked a bit strange, but it tasted good.
Over all it was a good pizza and salad.
