Lauren Conrad Print Peasant Top | Fashion Over 50

By Pam Greer 6 Comments

Love this print peasant top from Lauren Conrad and Kohl’s!

One of the fashion things that I struggle with as a woman over 50 is that my fashion taste really hasn’t changed so much over all these years.  I loved peasant blouses when I wore them in the 1970’s and I still love them today.  I still have a few of the originals boxed up in my closet!  Remember those embroidered with little mirror discs?  I still have mine, along with a couple pairs of very patched bell bottoms!

I still love girly, flowery blouses.  Tiny print flowers make me swoon.   One of my favorite fashion designers is Lauren Conrad.   I absolutely love every single item of her clothing at Kohl’s.  The trick is finding what works at my age.  While I adore her tiny dresses and would have lived in them when I was younger, they don’t work for me now.  What does work for me are her sweet floral printed peasant blouses.  I love these for so many reasons!  I love the tiny prints and the soft colors.  The softly scooped neck is very flattering and the tiny buttons add a delicate touch.  I love that that they are sheer, but still cover you nicely.  As someone who gets cold easily, the three quarter length sleeves are perfect for eating out in a restaurant, yet the sheerness of the fabric means you will still be comfortable outside.

Pairing this top with some softly faded jeans and cute flat sandals and I was ready for a casual Mother’s Day dinner.

I love Lauren Conrad clothing line, its chic and for a good price. I like the way you fit floral to fit your personal style. Haven’t been to Khols in forever, might need to go and check it out.
