A review of The Wayfarer Restaurant in Cannon Beach, Oregon.
On our last day in Cannon Beach, Oregon we woke up to a chilly, rainy day. We decided that it would be best to stick close to our hotel for our breakfast. We checked reviews and even though they weren’t consistent, we headed for The Wayfarer. We got there a few minutes after they opened and we sere seated in a large window booth with a view.
I know we may sound boring, but my husband and I both love steel cut oats. It’s right up there with bacon, eggs, and pancakes as a breakfast of choice. On vacation, getting steel cut oats at breakfast means that we don’t have to worry about how healthy our lunch and dinner are! On the lighter side of their menu, they had steel cut oats, they were $11.95, which is kind of high for oats, but you are paying for the view!
Our server kept our coffee filled and it was delicious coffee. We asked her what it was and she said it was Monastery Blend from Sleepy Monk – a local coffee roaster.
Our oats were cooked perfectly, creamy with still a little bit of bite to them. They were served with brown sugar, raisins, and milk. The toast was nice, thick slices and the marionberry jam was so good. The fresh fruit was honeydew, cantaloupe and pineapple.
We enjoyed our food, coffee and view!
