Pelican Brewing Company – Review

By Pam Greer 1 Comment

A Pelican Brewing Company Review.

Pelican Brewing Company Beer Flight

Since my husband and both love craft beer, we spend a lot of time checking out local breweries whenever we are traveling.  We have found some winners and some not-so-much winners.  I have to say that Pelican Brewing Company in Cannon Beach, Oregon is up there at the top.   We started with a beer flight and absolutely loved them all.  I especially liked the Umbrella IPA, I am a huge IPA fan.   But as good as the beer was, what really surprised me was the menu.  This was not your ordinary burgers and beers brew menu, everything sounded so good, I had a hard time deciding.

Bad Santa Braised Brisket from Pelican Brewing

My husband chose the Bad Santa Braised Brisket.  It was amazing.  Melt in your mouth tender, carrots and potatoes perfectly cooked, gravy rich and flavorful.

Smoked portabello & Risotto from Pelican Brewing in Cannon Beach Oregon

I ordered the Smoked Portabello & Risotto.   This too was amazing!!  I loved it so much I barely took any notes, just wrote down to check the menu.  Well, I just checked the menu and I don’t see it on there.  It might have been a specialty of the night.   But just look at the photo, does that look like beer pub food?!

Loved the beer, the food and the atmosphere.

I’d like to eat both of those dishes right now lol They sure don’t have food like that at our local pubs.
