This Kayce Hughes Ali Shirt with it’s adorable flowered fabric and crisp blue piping is one of my favorites!
There is one thing that I love more than chocolate. Fabric. Primarily vintage fabric, but any cute fabric will do. Just ask Mr. Grey, I have fabric stashed all over the house. One of these days I will find time to get back to sewing. One of my favorite things to sew is skirts, dresses and tops made out of vintage fabric. Here is a link to a top I made out of a some vintage curtain fabric.
When my daughter came in for a visit, we headed downtown to Warehouse Row to visit Anthropologie. As we walking towards Anthropologie, I stopped short. There, in a window display, were tops and dresses all made out of vintage-like fabric in cute vintage styles. An entire store filled with everything I loved! It was crazy! After gazing longingly at every single thing, we left, but the name Kayce Hughes typed into my phone so I wouldn’t forget.
When I got home, I read more about Kayce Hughes. I was thrilled to find that she was a designer out of Nashville! She had started out by making sleep shirts for her children out of vintage fabric! I used to make clothes for my children out of vintage fabric too! The difference is that I didn’t turn it into a thriving business!
I was beyond thrilled when my husband surprised me with this Kayce Hughes Ali Shirt for my birthday! I love everything about it. The longer, flattering A-line. The piping on the collar and cuffs. So cute!!

Pam, I really like Anthroplologie and wish I could sew, my mom knew how to, but I think I just never had the patience. Great top, and a nice surprise, you can certainly tell the quality by the material. Love the piping and print, looks great!
Thank you for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday
