Spa’s Premium Dead Sea Mud Mask

By Pam Greer Leave a Comment

Spa's Premium Dead Sea Mud Mask

I have a confession to make.  I’ve never been to a spa.  I’ve never had a facial.  The closest I’ve come is the articles in magazines that give you a few stops for your own in-home spa day.  You know where you steam your face over a bowl of water with a lavender sprig floating in it, then you apply various and assorted masks, maybe lie down with cucumber slices on your eyes.  Ben there done that.  Truth is, I don’t even have time for that.  But I do have time for a little bit of pampering and that’s what you get in this jar of Spa’s Premium Dead Sea Mask.

Ingredients of Spa's Premium Dead Sea Mud Mask

I am very particular with what I put in and on my body these days.  I want to be able to pronounce everything.  I want it to be organic.  Spa’s Premium Dead Sea Mud Mask 8oz for Facials and Body Mask meets all my requirements.  First of all there are only 10 ingredients, not a huge label full.  I can pronounce them all and they all sound good:  Dead Sea Mud, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Jojoba Oil, Hickory Bark Extract, Organic Calendula Oil, Filtered Water and Xanthan Gum.  That’s it!  No poly- somethings, no propa- somethings.

When you open it up, you see that it is a deep charcoal brown color, well the color of mud.  There is no real odor.  You stir it up and apply in a thin layer, in an upward motion.  Then you let it dry for 15-20 minutes.  You wash it off and apply a moisturizer if needed.  This has a pleasant soft consistency and goes on a little thinner than other mud masks I’ve tried.  I like that.  It feels wonderfully cool on your face as it dries.  Mine dried evenly and consistently.  It washed off easily also.  Afterwards my skin felt smooth and clean.  I have very sensitive skin and I’ve waited for 48 hours before writing this review and I can see that it didn’t cause any irritation to my skin at all.  I will make this a once a week treat – my own little facial if you will.
