A comfortable outfit of the day featuring a Velvet Heart Chambray shirt, J. Jill leggings, and Nine West Boots. Post may contain affiliate links.
My love affair with chambray began as a teenager in the 1970’s. Back then we called them work shirts. I had a favorite one that I literally wore until it was threadbare. If I had enough foresight (and time), I would have tried to find a photo of me in mine. It was big and loose and I wore it year round. Like jeans, chambray shirts seem seasonless. This one, from Velvet Heart is my new favorite! It is my favorite work shirt updated and even better!
I love that it is nice and long in the back. Whenever I am doing photoshoots, I need a shirt that is long in the back so that when I bend over or squat down to take photos, I’m not showing any skin. It’s also soft and drapey and oh-so-comfortable!
I found it at Marshall’s at the same time I found these Nine West Women’s Cromie Riding Boot! I love the combination of black and brown on one boot! I paired the shirt and boots with my favorite comfortable J. Jill Riding Pants Leggings, for a casual and comfortable weekend look.

Chambray shirts really are so timeless! I have a few but don’t wear them much since they are a bit too casual for my office but I love how it goes with everything.
Thank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you next week.
