Flip to My Lou is a two-ingredient cocktail that you are going to love! Post may contain affiliate links.
Last November, my husband and I went on a trip to Seattle and then explored Washington State. One of our explorations was to Whidbey Island. As you might imagine, most of our exploring revolves around eating and drinking. We figure we’ll see all the gorgeous sights on our way too and from a place to eat or drink. While looking up things to do in Whidbey Island, I stumbled across Whidbey Island Distillery. Since we are all about craft distilleries, we put that on our list.
Since I’m going to be doing a blog post on our visit to the distillery, I’m not going to go into too much detail here, but we loved our visit! They have infused liqueurs: loganberry, blackberry, raspberry, and boysenberry. They also have a rye whiskey. Knowing that I had to pack whatever I purchased into my suitcase for the flight home, was the only thing that kept me from purchasing one of everything. It was hard to choose a favorite, but we settled on the loganberry liqueur.
For our first cocktail of the New Year, we decided to use our Loganberry Liqueur. I went to the Whidbey Island Distillery website and found Flip to My Lou. Two ingredients – Loganberry Liqueur and soda water. This was so easy and so good! It was light and refreshing with a gorgeous sparkling color. I used carbonated water from my Soda Stream, so this was even easier.
We are definitely going to be making this cocktail a lot! I think we are going to need to get some of their other liqueurs!
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 oz loganberry liqueur
- 2 to 3 ounces soda (club soda if you want it sweeter)
Instructions
- Add ice to a pretty glass. Pour in loganberry liqueur and top with soda water. Stir and garnish with a mint sprig.

There is an amazing local distillery with the best fruit liqueurs I’ve ever had so I can imagine how good this is!
I make some of my own liqueurs too and my standard mixer is Prosecco. I’ll have to try soda water; I could enjoy a cocktail without having to invite friends over!

This cocktail is so sophisticated in simple. I absolutely love infused liqueurs. I’ll have to put this distillery on my mixologist’s (aka husband) radar!

I also love infused liqueurs – as is obvious by my ever expanding liquor cabinet!

The distillery sounds like a place I’d love to visit, Pam! I’ve only had loganberries once or twice but I love their sweet/sharp flavour. Your Flip to My Lou cocktail sounds so refreshing. Thank you for sharing it with us at the Hearth and Soul Hop. (And so much of the exploring my husband and I do revolves around food too! ) Sharing your post.

What a dainty thing she is! Love everything about this including the stunning photographs. It sounds like you and I travel the same way. When we went to Amsterdam last summer lots of people asked “What are you planning to do there?” and I’d say “Walk around and eat. The same thing we do everywhere.” Looking forward to your post on the distillery visit.
