Horse Feathers Cocktail A Yummy Whiskey Cocktail

If you love easy whiskey cocktails, you’ll love a Horse Feathers Cocktail.  Post may contain affiliate links.

Horse Feathers Cocktail - whiskey, ginger ale and bitters

Last week I showed you The Dragonfly Cocktail.   Many people commented that they had made a gin and ginger ale cocktail before, they just didn’t know it had a name.  Even after making that cocktail, we still had some ginger ale to use up, so I went searching for more ginger ale cocktails.  I wanted the next one to be just as easy.  It wasn’t long before I stumbled upon the Horse Feathers Cocktail!  Super simple, and like the Dragonfly Cocktail, super easy.

The Horse Feathers Cocktail - ginger ale, whiskey, and bitters

This cocktail is made from just 3 ingredients:  whiskey, ginger ale and bitters (not counting a lime wedge for garnish.)   Some recipes that I found used ginger beer in place of the ginger ale.  But we were on a mission to use up our ginger ale.  This was a perfectly balanced cocktail.  The sweetness of the ginger ale paired beautifully with the whisky and the little hint of bitter from the bitters.  We liked it so much, we had two!
