I think I’ve posted about sleeveless tops before, but since this is Fashion Over 50 and I am over 50, I can’t even remember what I had for breakfast today, much less if I talked about sleeveless shirts. I went through a period of a few years where I didn’t wear sleeveless tops. I had always been proud of my toned arms in my youth and I just didn’t like the way they looked anymore. Then one day I went to an outdoor event and I was so hot in my t-shirt. A woman, probably in her 70’s or 80’s walked by in this light as air sleeveless shirt. Her arms were wrinkled and soft and dotted with sunshine freckles. They looked like they were happy being out in the sun. She was smiling and having a great time.
So, this year, before our big weeklong music festival, I ran to Marshall’s in search of sleeveless shirts. I found two that I lot were perfect, light and airy and comfortable. The first one is this lovely blue Grand & Greene shirt. I love everything about it, from it’s half button front, to it’s slightly wider shoulders (no bra strap worries) to it’s slightly a-line flowy fit. It’s perfect! I paired it with white Bandolino Blue capris and some Montego Bay Club white sandals. An effortless casual outfit!
