This Fashion Over 50 post is all about Going Casual.
I have a confession. I am a real homebody. Since I am a blogger and a professional photographer, the majority of my work occurs in front of a computer screen in my basement. Most days I am in a pair of jeans, sandals and a t-shirt. Even when I am at a photo shoot, my wardrobe is about the same. I wear jeans or shorts because I frequently have to get on the ground, comfortable shoes for walking and a white t-shirt so that I don’t reflect color back on my clients. So, while I admire all the fashion bloggers with their gorgeous outfits, purses and accessories, it is really not me. So, I thought I’d show you a typical Going Casual day outfit for me.
Even though I live in Tennessee, I was born and raised in St. Louis. Well, I was actually born in East St. Louis and we moved to St. Louis in 3rd grade. On a trip to St. Louis last summer, I ran out of clean clothes and bought this cute Cardinals t-shirt. I think it’s a cute way to show some St. Louis pride. The jeans are Artisan NY from Marshall’s. These are my first foray into ripped jeans. I just couldn’t bear to pay money for jeans that were heavily ripped (showing my age, I’m sure), but I thought these were cute with their two tiny ripped sections. I feel so finally with it (though probably saying “with it” again shows my age.) Finally, my casual shoes of choice, Sperry’s.
You didn’t think I could get through my whole fashion post without kitty cat help, did you?
