J. Jill Artisanal Draped Topper | Fashion Over 50

By Pam Greer 11 Comments

The perfect topper for those chilly days!

J. Jill Artisanal Draped Topper

Mr. Grey and I were planning a vacation in late October early November for Seattle and the North Cascades Loop.  I needed to pack a lot of layers.  When I travel, I almost always opt for black as my go-to color, even in the summer.  It is so easy to dress up or dress down black.  I wanted to find a heavier sweater that I could use for layering.

I searched all over, but with no luck.  Just when I was about to give up, J. Jill had one of their 25% off your entire purchase if you used their credit card.   As soon as I saw this J. Jill Artisanal Draped Topper, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.  It is a nice heavy weight sweater.  It has an attractive draped front and a cute yarn colored pin closure.  I loved the pin, but realized that I probably wouldn’t be able to wear it on the plane.

The best part?!  It has a hood and pockets!  Here in Southeast Tennessee, we have a lot of winter days in the 50’s.  Not quite cold enough for a big winter coat, but too cold for just a normal sweater.  This heavy hooded sweater will be perfect.  For this look, I paired it with jeans, a gray sweater, and a pair of  Antonio Melani black boots.

Totally love this draped top with the boots. Black and gray are my go-to colors. I think the black combined with the jeans makes a really cozy and classic looking outfit!
