My Fashion Over 50 outfit of the day features some homemade jewelry. Post may contain affiliate links.
My photography business, Pamela Greer Photography, is in full prom and senior photos mode right now! On Saturday night, I needed to meet a lovely client to drop off her daughter’s senior announcements. Being ever so resourceful, I decided to set the meeting place up at Big River Grille, so the hubs and I could eat out and I could deliver my announcements! It worked perfectly! I’ll also probably be reviewing Big River Grille on Thursday, so I totally multi-tasked!
In deciding what to wear, I settled on this soft pink shirt from Forever 21. I love anything pale pink, which is why I’m thrilled with Pantone’s Rose Quartz Color of the Year. I know it may seem strange to see a Forever 21 shirt on a Fashion Over 50 blog, but I love some of their dressier shirts. There are clothes there that I would obviously not wear, but every once in a while I find a nice dressier blouse. I love this one because of it’s black polka-dots. It is perfect alone in the spring and summer and in the fall and winter it is perfect under a black cardigan sweater. I paired with my favorite blush oxford flats from Restricted.
I accessorized with one of my favorite jewelry pieces. It is a necklace that I made using one of my grandmothers vintage earrings! I love it’s soft delicate look and the fact that it’s a one of a kind piece. If you are wondering what I’m reading, it’s My Stylish French Girlfriends from Sharon Santoni. As I love all things French, I am totally loving this book. I’ll be doing a review on it later, which I’ll link up to.

I don’t shop much at F21 either but they do have some fun blouses that I have purchased. I love your DIY necklace from your grand mother’s jewelry!
