Maxi Skirt Transition to Fall

Well, now that the kids have started back to school, I feel like it should be fall.  Just like that, a snap of your fingers, and bingo it’s fall.  Unfortunately that’s not how it works, fall will come with it’s usual fits and starts.  Here today, gone tomorrow and then back again.  Still, though, I can’t help starting to think about fall and how exciting this fall is going to be now that I am using a capsule wardrobe.  This outfit is based on the French Minimalist Summer 2017 Capsule Wardrobe.   However when I looked through the book, I saw that this particular combination wasn’t in it!  So not only can you make 100 outfits, you can make 101 outfits!

The capsule wardrobe clothing list called for a black skirt.  I didn’t find a black skirt that I liked, but what I did find was this Emi & Joe maxi skirt in black, beige and white!  It was absolutely perfect.  Paired with a Jones of New York neutral linen shell and a Premise beige cardigan, it makes an easy transition to fall.   A similar look:  Top Shop Floral Print Maxi,  Nordstrom’s Fuzzy Tulle Maxi,  Celine Sleeveless Linen, Sleeveless Linen,  Merona Cardigan,  and Ruffle Hem Cardigan.

Lovely skirt, the print is fab! I won’t be packing my summer stuff away just yet because the weather will be changeable here in the UK too for a while.
